Calm City Website

Client: Calm City

My role: UX, graphic design, photo-editing, writing, custom coding

Brief: Redesign the website for New York City’s first mobile mediation service.

Challenge: Transform Calm City’s original minimal website into an easily navigable site that fully explains their range of offerings.

Solution: I created a site map delineating Calm City’s onsite and virtual meditation sessions and workshops. Company photos were included as much as possible to better illustrate their meditation experiences. A color scheme and decorative elements were established from the existing logo and incorporated throughout the site. I wrote and edited copy with a focus on brevity, clarity, and search engine optimization. Working within Squarespace’s constraints, I used custom coding to add custom fonts and other effects.

Result: Customers began finding Calm City through web searches, as opposed to word-of-mouth, and more customers used the reformatted on-line signup form as their first contact.
