Client: PS 31 Parent Teacher Association, Brooklyn, NY
My Role: Pro bono infographic design
Brief: Clean up the text layout.
Challenge: While initially asked to clean up the text layout, I thought the information could be made easier to grasp.
Solution: I eliminated as much text as possible since my audience consisted of busy parents and potential community donors with little time to wade through a donation request. I also wanted to make the information visual for a diverse school district where English is often a second language. A simple hub diagram with icons illustrated how school programs are directly funded by donations.
Result: PTA officers reported that the flyer made the goals of PTA funding crystal clear to parents and community donors.
