STYLE GUIDE

Client: The ZOO team, Google’s creative think tank

My role: Solely in charge of composition, writing, design

Brief: Provide design guidance to the 100+ members of Google’s global ZOO team.

Challenge: Document the team’s design process and resources. Create use cases, detail best practices, and archive linked assets.

Solution: I surveyed and documented the team’s design practices in a guide covering logo usage, iconography, typography, color palettes, best practices, use cases, and more. I created an online asset archive of images, fonts, and other resources and also included links to these in the guide.

Result: An up-to-date reference for team members, the style guide helped familiarize new hires and outside vendors with ZOO design standards and existing iconography specific to this team within Google. The ZOO style guide saved valuable time once wasted on searching for resources or determining correct use cases.
