WELLS FARGO HOLIDAY MAGIC

Brief: Google’s creative think tank, the ZOO, was asked to create a digital experience during the winter holidays for current and potential customers of Wells Fargo.
Challenge: Engage users with a holiday-themed on-brand experience.
Solution: Inspired by Wells Fargo’s iconic winter holiday commercials featuring a stagecoach delivering mail and packages to excited townspeople, we invited users to create digital holiday cards with an online and mobile site called "Holiday Magic." I created initial mocks and user flows, and our team partnered with outside agencies to build and refine the experience. Upon entering an address, Google Maps’ Street Views generated a 3D rendering of a snow-covered street scene. Users could customize the scene with drag-and-drop festive images to create a digital greeting card to be shared via Twitter, Facebook, or email.
Result: “Holiday Magic” generated over 55,000 unique holiday cards, and enjoyed over 273,000 unique visitors during the one-month campaign window. The ZOO team partnered with Wells Fargo's agencies BBDO and Organic, as well as digital production shop Jam3 to create the site.
